On July 6, Tianjin University held its commencement ceremony for undergraduate students in the gymnasium of Weijin Road Campus. A total of 4,500 students were awarded bachelor's degrees.
President Jin Donghan encouraged students to think big and sent best wishes on behalf of Tianjin University: “May peace, health, happiness, and joy be with you always.This is the greatest wish of your alma mater.”
Foong Yan Lin from Malaysia, an undergraduate of the School of Marine Science and Technology, spoke as a representative of international students.
Undergraduate Sheng Xinlei from the School of Architecture, Representative of alumni Gao Xiang, President of China International Marine Containers (Group) Co.,Ltd. (CIMC), and faculty representative Sun Tao, Party Secretary of the School of Mechanical Engineering also delivered speeches at the ceremony.
After the speeches, all faculty and students sang Tianjin University’s anthem together. Undergraduate Class of 2024sent theirteacher appreciation gifts of flowers to their grateful teachers before their degree-granting ceremony.
